WHITE WATER RAFTING APURIMAC RIVER (4D/3N)
TOUR 2
A
most exciting whitewater experience rated among the
best ten
rafting trips in the world.
You start your trip from Cusco, at 3,400 m., and drive for 4
hours across the Andes down to the Apurimac River at 2,000
meters. (Apurimac: Quechua word meaning ¨Speaker of the Gods¨)
This river is the most direct source of the Amazon, making it
the longest river in the world.
On
our expeditions, we use only state-of-the-art rafting equipment
and professional class V guides. All the meals are prepared
under strict sanitary conditions and we camp under the night sky
of the Southern Hemisphere. Most of the time we raft Class III
and IV rapids, but we also have a few Class IV+ and V rapids
(the highest level available for passengers). The wildlife in
this remote canyon includes river otters, bob cats, foxes,
condors, torrent ducks and cormorants.
