Cusco City Tour & Sacred Valley & Maras, Moray & Machu Picchu
 


With this 5D4N tour you can visit the famous city of Cusco in the first day we will visit the majestic cathedral of Cusco, the temple of Qoricancha and four of the ruins near the city, the second day we visit the Sacred Valley of the Incas and appreciate Pisaq ruins, Ollantaytambo ruins, and Chinchero ruins and market, the third day visit the complex of Maras and Moray and finally on the fourth day visit one of the new seven wonders of the modern world, Machu Picchu, and finally the fifth day after having a good experience you leave the city of Cusco.

Tour Itinerary:
DAY 1: City Tour
The tour begins around the 13:30 pm The first visit is to the imposing cathedral of colonial style and majestic pictures of the cusqueña school, continuing the route you will visit the temple of the sun (Qoricancha) which demonstrates a mixture of Inka architecture and Spanish architecture, after this visit you will continue on to see the strength of the Inka, “Sacsayhuaman”, carried on by the astrological and ceremonial center of Q'enqo, later you will visit the complex of Pucapucara finishing in Tambomachay (Temple of the Water) a center of adoration and worship of water. The route finishes around the 18:30 pm.

  • Private transportation to all sites including transfers to and from your hotel.

What is not included
  • Entrance fees.
  • Cusco Tourist Ticket called “Boleto Turístico Cusco” cost 130 soles, (approx 48US$), you can use this same ticket for Sacred Valley Tour.
  • The Tourist Ticket allow you to visit 16 places, you can visit the rest of places another days, you will have 10 days to use this ticket.
  • Students with ISIC card, pay half price.
  • Entrance Qoricancha, 10 soles (approx. 4US$).
  • Entrance to Cathedral 25 soles (approx. 9US$).
DAY 2 : Sacred Valley Tour
The tour begins around the 08:30 am. We will collect you from your hotel, hostel etc in the morning around 8:15am, we will then proceed to the archaeological complex of Pisaq which shows the majestic abilities of the Inkas, in addition you will be able to appreciate all the Urubamba valley from the top of the complex, later we will visit the artisan market of Pisaq (Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday) where you will be able to make purchases of crafts of very good quality.

We will continue through the valley up to the small town of Urubamba where we will stop for lunch buffet, we will continue on to the Inka town of Ollantaytambo which conserves its streets with Inka houses. Will rise to the top of the archaeological complex of the same name to appreciate the majesty and beauty that it has to offer.

Later we will continue to the town of Chinchero where we will be able to appreciate the best of Inka textiles with the same style that has been done there for 500 years. Excursion finish at 6:30 p.m

During the excursion you will visit:
  • Pisaq ruins.
  • Pisaq market (Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday).
  • Ollantaytambo archaeological site.
  • Chinchero colonial village, and Andean market.

DAY 3 : Maras & Moray
Tour itinerary: Tour begins in the morning around the 8:00 a.m. We will collect you from your hotel, hostel, etc.

We will proceed towards the archaeological center of Moray, the only one group of archaeological remains in this region, that were used for agriculture purpose, which has magnificent andenería (platforms) in circular form with different levels and climates. The temperature between the top and the bottom could vary 60°F.

Later we will go to the complex of exploitation of salt, near from the town of Maras. These salt mines were exploited since Inca times, and these products were used like money to exchange for other products.

  • Entrance ticket to Maras.

DAY 4 : Machu Picchu by Train (1 DAY)
A full day visit to the world famous Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, departing Cusco in the early morning to reach Poroy train station or Ollantaytambo train station according to the train service you have chosen (Vista dome, Expedition or Hiram Bingham) and then Aguas Calientes town after a 4-hour train ride. From this point, a bus will take us up to the ruins to start a full-guided tour of the Inca city lasting between 2,5 - 3 hours, after which you will enjoy free time to further visit this impressive archaeological site. In the afternoon, bus ride back to Aguas Calientes to board the train that will take us back to Cusco, with an estimated arrival time around 8.30 p.m.

  • Transfers to and from hotel to Poroy or Ollantaytambo train station.
  • Train ticket from Poroy or Ollantaytambo train station to Aguas Calientes (round trip).
  • Bus tickets from Aguas Calientes to Machupicchu ruins (round trip).
  • Machupicchu 1D entrance fee.
  • Guided service by an official English-speaking tourist guide.
  • Buffet lunch at Machupicchu Sanctuary Lodge (when requested).
